For childcare workers that are employed or wish to be employed by a State of CT certified child daycare center.

What is covered

  • Heartsaver CPR for adult/child/infant with AED and choking
  • Basic First Aid for children
  • State of CT required supplemental materials. ( contagious diseases, diapering, child abuse, etc.)

This is a 6 hour course mandated by the State of Connecticut.

Price Includes:

  • American Heart Association Course completion card for Pediatric First Aid, valid for 2 years
  • All course materials including training supplies
  • Student Textbook is not included but required, and can be purchased when completing your registration.

Safe Sitter® is a program for 11-14 year olds where you will learn life-saving skills so you can be safe if you’re home alone or watching younger children.
You’ll play fun games and do some role-playing exercises — you even get to use manikins to practice choking rescue!
Your mom and dad will feel better knowing you’re prepared to handle whatever situation comes up, and you’ll be ready to be in charge!

This class will teach you how to instruct American Heart Association courses.  You will learn to instruct to the level of your CPR certification.  You must be CPR certified by the American Heart Association to take this course.

This online course must be completed by the in class part 2.

1. You must provide proof of American Heart Association CPR Certification before we can recieve your instructor manual.


2. You need to have an affiliation with an AHA training center. If you do not, we can help facilitate this for you. We will need to know this before the class room portion.

HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace.

Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then complete a hands-on skills session.

After completing the online portion of this course, you must complete our hands-on session  to obtain a course completion card. Contact an AHA Training Center in your area for more details or to schedule a hands-on session.

This course may be used for initial or renewal BLS for Healthcare Providers Course completion.

For healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses, EMS personnel, etc.)

Through interactive case-based micro-simulation technology, this course teaches:

  1. Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions that may result in cardiac arrest or complicated resuscitation outcomes
  2. Management of cardiac arrest until return of spontaneous circulation, termination of resuscitation, or transfer of care
  3. Recognition of life threatening clinical situations such as stroke
  4. Identification and treatment of ischemic chest pain and expedition of the care of patients with acute coronary syndromes
  5. Effective communication as a member or leader of a resuscitation team and how to recognize the impact of team dynamics on overall team performance
  6. Basic life support care, including prioritizing chest compressions and integrating an AED
  • Key changes in pediatric advanced life support, reflecting the new science from the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC
  • 12 pediatric, hospital-based, patient cases with up to four healthcare providers, presented though eSimulation technology
  • Systematic approach to pediatric assessment
  • Recognition and management of respiratory and shock emergencies
  • Recognition and management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Immediate post-cardiac arrest care
  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

  • Access to the PALS Provider Manual, the 2020 Handbook of ECC and 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR & ECC
  • Access to all information in course for two years following activation of course key
AED compliance management program, CPR Training Professionals, takes the guesswork out of owning and maintaining an AED. AED owners are legally responsible to ensure their AEDs are ready to respond in an emergency situation. CPR Training Professionals uses a third party vendor for AED Compliance Management with an easy-to-use digital tool that allows you to remotely track when your AED pads and batteries need to be replaced, and receive monthly reminders for AED checks and inspection screens.
Purchase includes coverage for one (1) AED. Purchasing AED Compliance Management unlocks access, tracking and reminders for one AED. If you have multiple AEDs, you will need to purchase multiple licenses.

CPR Training Professionals is hiring CPR Instructors!

No experience necessary, we will train and mentor the right individual, healthcare background is preferred.

If selected for this program and hired, the selected candidate will receive training to become a CPR Instructor at CPR Training Professionals.  The individual that is hired and trained will be asked to only teach CPR at CPR Training Professionals for 1 year as a non compete agreement to help recoup the cost of training and mentoring.

Candidates must have reliable transportation, be able to work weekends, and work well independantly or with a team.

Heartsaver CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver CPR AED blended learning course and is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for CPR and AED training.

Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on session with us.

This course provides students with the convenience of completing the course at their own pace wherever they have access to the Internet.

The course includes interactive exercises and videos to engage students and provide periodic points of knowledge transference, along with audio and transcript for students who may have a hearing or visual disability.

This course should take approximately 2 hours to complete.

 

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the blended learning course, and is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for first aid, CPR and AED training.

Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session us.

This course provides students with the convenience of completing the course at their own pace wherever they have access to the Internet.

This course includes interactive exercises and videos to engage students and provide periodic points of knowledge transference, along with audio and transcript for students who may have a hearing or visual disability, and much more.

This course should take approximately 4 hours to complete.

This course offers the flexibility of two different course paths:

  • Heartsaver – Shorter Heartsaver course path offers the flexibility to add optional topics. Add on optional topics when required topics are completed.
  • Heartsaver Total – Comprehensive course designed for those requiring training to meet OSHA or other regulatory agency requirements.

*** Students in CT must choose the Heartsaver Total to meet State requirements for Daycare ***

*** State of CT students in inspected daycare centers must complete the Heartsaver Total option for this course and complete a  Skill review in person as well as the State of CT supplemental materials training. ***

This course is approximately 90 minutes long.  Parents are requested to be prepared to pick up promptly at the end of class.
